Hi Everyone! My name is Pavneet Sidana, writer for Simply Pavneet. I currently live in New York City with my husband and son. If I have to describe myself in one sentence then I would say that I am that awkward girl that just happens to love everything fashion.

I have always been very experimental with my choices in fashion and makeup. I have never thought of it as a hobby but part of my personality. I spend hours researching little-known brands and trends that people are yet to follow.

Where do you live?

As of April 2021, I am living in New York City. I came to New York City in 2009 to pursue my masters and since then it is the only place I have envisioned as home. The culture, food and just walking down the street over here and looking at the diversity of people enriches my soul.

Where are you originally from?

I am originally from Punjab, India and came to USA to pursue Masters in Computer Science.

Why did you decide to start a fashion blog?

I have always been a step forward from everyone else when it came to fashion ( whatever happened to being modest) My husband asked me to start a blog a few years back but I was too determined to climb the corporate ladder at that time and laughed off the idea. Also, the fact that I am an introvert didn’t give me the push initially. But in 2020, all of our lives got hit by the pandemic. Being at home gave me more thinking time and made me realize that this my true calling. I am not still very comfortable in front of the camera but I am getting better with each passing day.

Do you blog full time?

Not yet. I work as a Business Analyst full time since we got bills to pay. Someday if I get to make enough money through the blog, I would love to pursue it full time.

Do you have any hobbies?

My biggest hobby is eating. I love to explore different cuisines and restaurants which is another reason why I love New York City. It’s tough to tell from my size but I can probably outdo a lot of people when it comes to eating.
